A lithophane is a photograph printed as thickness rather than ink. Where the picture is dark the wall is printed thick, where it is light it is printed thin — so unlit it reads as a pale panel, and with a light behind it the photograph appears, held in the material itself. Nothing is printed on the surface, so there is nothing to fade. Two versions are shown: • Cylinder, 10 cm tall, ⌀ 10 cm — 15 € with a battery tea light inside, 25 € with a mains LED and a stand. Built from a series of three photographs wrapped around the circle, so the picture keeps going as you turn it. • Rectangle 7 × 5 cm on a stand, with a battery tea light — 10 €. The price follows the size of the piece and the way the light is built in — a battery tea light, an LED base, or a stand of its own.
